Help Sound Issues

I just got the update to 2.2 on my Droid and I am having a slight issue. Usually whenever I go to school, I would put my Droid in silent mode and then when done I put it into vibrate mode. Now with the update it seems that I cannot do this. Here are the options that I want. What must I do to get them:

Vibrate mode: Vibrate for incoming calls, texts, emails, et cetera.
Silent mode: No vibration or sound for anything at all.

Please help.

same problem here bro..just got off the phone with tech support at verizon..they said it should be able to do that..she said try a soft reset and if that doesnt work than do a factory return or exchange..i think its pretty stupid that this doesnt work..also i hate the white background on the texts now..gonna try the soft reset now..
