sound notifications and Bluetooth headphones.

can sound notifications be turned off on the phone speaker while using Bluetooth for music?
When using normal wired headphones everything is passed to the headphones... not so for Bluetooth

It would be interesting to see if you can just do this via Settings:

Settings -->Sound -->Volumes

and turn you ringtone & notifications down to zero, while leaving your Music setting turned up.

Try that and let us know if it works :)

Doesn't work.

I have jaybird sportsband and I have same issue as OP.

i am trying out that application mentioned... gotta wait to see if the call/sms voice notifications work...

update: sent myself some messages from the telus site... works either on the headset or the phone (if the headset is off)...

still do not know about incoming calls, but will assume the notifications will work like the sms one does...

thanks for the app suggestion.

Maybe it has more to with your Bluetooth headset than the phone. When I use my stereo Bluetooth headphones all sounds are passed to the headphones. Not sure which Bluetooth protocol makes it work that way.
