Help sound problem

Is there anyway to get the notifications to be louder than the ones installed with the phone? I can't hear them when I have the phone in my pocket, any help will be deeply appreciated.

I can barely hear the ring tone much less the notifications and I downloaded songs but that doesn't increase the volume for them.

I've been using Audacity (FREE windows program) to increase the volume of the tones prior to using them.

Did you go into Settings and adjust the volume for notifications? It is separate from your ringer volume. Also, won't help your volume, but setting it to vibrate when it rings helps when phone is in pocket.

Are you using Audacity with Samsung Epic? If not, will it work with it?

eztripp, kelmar doesnt use 'audacity' on an epic, although it would be nice...

'audacity' is a great audio editting program for mac/pc... then save/copy your revised alert/ringer files via sd/usbmount to your phone.

(funny enough, i actually used 'audacity' to make a very quiet ringer - as the epics lowest setting was just too loud...)
