Help Sound quality reduced after update?

I just revived the update to 2.3.5 and Sense 3.0 and when listening to music i would usually set the sound enhancer to SRS, now when i do it it sounds no where near as good, has anyone noticed this? is it deliberate? so i just use it on 'no effects' now.

I'm on 3 UK, and just received the update last night after checking manually, interestingly my first Desire s developed the problem where it reboots and dies then got it replaced, and received the update straight away on my 2nd desire s (about 2-3 months ago), but it got stuck on the HTC boot screen and sent it back to be replaced and now on my 3rd desire s which just got the update.
