Sounds Setup Question

Forgive me if this something easy that I should know. I've set my custom sounds and I have different sounds for default notification, message, and email. However, everytime anything comes in, the default notification sound plays. Is there a way to actually get it to play your message sound for a message and an email sound for an email? I thought maybe the default notification by definition is the sound that just plays for anything, but I don't see a place to turn the default off so that your other sounds play instead.

This is a bug that quite a few others are having. Mine does the same thing, only sometimes it will work, other times it won't. I've been on these boards and over an hour with VZW Tech Support, and there isn't any explanation as to why this is happening, or how to fix it..

P.S. Mine is actually intermittent with custom ring tones defaulting back to default, not notification tones. Somehow, my notification tones are coming through as I've set them. Someone else on this board is having problems with notification tones too.

If you haven't already, try creating 2 new folders on your SD card, one called Ringtones, and the other called Notifications. Paste your sounds into those folders, and they will show up in the phones menu along with the stock sounds and 'should' hold consistent.
