Help Spam, Other Issues With New GS2

Hello, I've had this phone for a couple of weeks. Did the following:

a) Installed 'No lock' to remove lock screen then uninstalled because app was flaky.
b) Installed, then uninstalled at least two alternative launchers.
c) Installed and use (and like) K-9 email.
d) Go SMS installed.

I have the following issues.

1) I cannot keep the K-9 icon in the app tray at the bottom. It periodically disappears and I have to put it back. Any idea what is causing this? GO SMS never jumps out of the app tray.

2) I get spam notifications in the notification bar... "I may have won a new iPhone"... yeh, right... what is spamming me, how can I stop it.

c) My picture gallery is full of advertising spam... Applebee's, Baja Fresh, Blimpies, Burger King, etc. Where did this cr*p come from and how do I stop it?

I do have Camera FX Zoom installed, along with quite a lot of other apps but cannot ID which one(s) are spamming me. Would love to get rid of them.

Since you have GoSMS, you should be using Go Launcher right?

1) Dunno

2) Try getting Addons Detector from market. It would detect which app have air push message and you can choose to remove these apps or live with it.

3) Look for the app that are causing it. Refer 2 above. Then look for the folder. If you are removing the offending app, then just delete the folder. Else, place a .nomedia file in the folder so it won't show up in gallery.

1. The problem is with launcher setting. I've had this issue. What launcher are you using? If default, then it is twlauncher. Go to settings, applications, manage applications, select all, look for twlauncher, clear data. This will fix the problem but you will have to rearrange all your icons.

I am using twlauncher. What do you mean I will need rearrange my icons?

I didn't know you can change the dock icons at the bottom using TW?

Anyway, once you go to the launcher and clear data, all your settings get reset back to original. Meaning you have to redo all your homescreen layout again. Just take some screen shots if you want to get it back exactly the way you want to before.
