Spare Battery? - Advice needed please

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone here has bought a spare battery for their SGS2, if so, where from?

Could I have a non samsung branded one, as I'm not looking to spend a lot?

I use my phone quite heavily and it's becoming a problem when I go out for a long day keeping battery, so thinking that carrying a spare around would be by best option?

Thanks:D

You can buy a Samsung extended battey kit (2000mAh)on Amazon, includes new back cover as new battery slightly larger.

I picked up a spare standard battery from MobileFun a while back. Unbranded but delivers on its capacity claim (1500mAh) and works fine. About half the price of the Samsung-branded unit too.

Thanks - Silly question but I just want to make sure, can this spare battery be charged whilst in the phone? You don't have to use some sort of external charger do you?
Thanks again

I brought spare battery (1800mAh) from over seas, was fine but quickly degraded, changed for a new official Samsung one and the difference is night and day.

i Am getting a spare battery of 3500mAh, not branded by samsung but from some other dealer.
He is claiming that its as good as samsungs battery & wont do any harm, + will increase teh battery life by 2x.

is it safe to buy that ??

That's entirely up to you. Obviously it would have to come with a replacement cover for the back of the phone as a battery that size will be much larger than the standard one. I'm happy with my slim phone and would rather carry a spare battery than ruin the look of it with a bulky replacement. Personally if I was going down the route you're looking at I'd go with the official Samsung battery and cover as you're guaranteed to have no problems with it, plus the cover will fit perfectly.

yea the dealer is providing me with the
1xBattery 3500mAh
1xbattery COver

Yea i know the size would increase but i can adjust to that, as compared to bad & worst battery life lasting just 5-6hrs a day & needs charging 3 times a day.
