Speaker (ear) Suddenly Sounds Like Sh**

Happening to me as well for the last 2 days or so.

Have the same problem with Blutooth (Jawbone-Icon) everything worked great untill the "upgrade'. went to Sprint and he wanted to do a a hard reset. NO way I'll just wait for 2.2 (Froyo)

I've noticed this too. It doesn't sound like a blown speaker, but definitely like static.

I noticed that it goes away for a while with a reboot. Odd. Sometimes it happens with my speaker phone too.

Make sure you don't have the hearing aid thing checked by mistake. Mine was on by default. Turned that off, and it got rid of all the static and cracking I had.

THIS FIXED IT FOR ME! I can't believe it was that simple, and nobody at the local Sam's club (Sprint store) helped me after several times of bringing it in.

Seems stupid this setting is on by default!

Go to: SETTINGS, CALL, HEARING AIDS
and uncheck HEARING AIDS
