Speaker / Mic volume of HTC DHD

is the speakers equal to the HTC Desire? Or better?

how can the phone ring louder when it is put in a bag? if it is already on maximum volume?

does the SRS and Dolby Digital really have a difference?

I'm seriously afraid of all those things before I buy a DHD

Coming from a Nexus One (which is very similar to the Desire) I find the DHD better in speaker quality. If the phone is already on max then it won't ring louder, but say it's on medium. If it rings the light sensor and orientation of the phone will trigger it to turn the volume up. Sort of like when it rings sitting on a table, and you pick it up, it gets lower. Yes the SRS and Dolby make a huge difference. Depending on what I'm listening to I switch back and forth, and sometimes use the built in equalizer. Overall to me this is the best phone I have ever had. Hands down.

well the ringtones from my ole HTC Hero was certainly louder than the DHD....headphone volume not a problem, but earphone when taking a call is a lil quiet....

I have Desire and Desire HD and the standard Desire speaker is definitely louder, especially the ringer. Audio processing only works through headphones (or car speakers...lol) and not the speaker.

Using the loid speaker in an incar cradle is pointless. its too quiet to hear voices when my car is on or moving. So dont get this phone if you want to use the louspeaker while driving. The position the speaker is poor and the volume and quality is not good - to the point its not really usable
