Speaker on all time

For some reason everytime a call comes in or I make a call my speaker goes on automatically and I have to manually turn it off. Can anyone tell me how to stop this.

Very basic steps on how to do this as I'm not teccy at all.

1) Check the USB port for fluff
2) If fluff, blow gently
3) Pull the battery out
