Help Speaker phone and in-call volume very low

I just bought a used Inc2 off ebay, so I'm not sure if it's just my phone or do all Inc2 have a low volume problem when it comes to the speakerphone and the in-call volume.

I can hear people, it just isn't as loud as my old Incredible.

I am running cm7 with the Tiamat kernel which supposedly helps increase the speaker volume, but it is hard to tell.

The speakerphone sounds like it's about to pop sometimes.

Is there any way to increase the volume? Would DSP manager help? Or Cyangenmod settings?
 
The speakerphone might be something you have to live with. It may be the only real flaw of this phone. As far as the low in-call volume, if you don't mind Sense, flash one of those ROMs. All AOSP ROMs have the low handset volume issue, even with Tiamat it's not as good as Sense ROMs.
 
My speakerphone seems loud enough but it crackles at the top setting. I did see a post here that someone found a solution to the crackle but I don't remember where.
 
I'm running CM7 nightlies and notice the volume terribly low!

Any apps out there to boost speaker volume. I really prefer to keep AOSP. But if it isn't possible, I may be forced to go sense. I can't stand such low volume.
 
I'm running OMFGB rom with the Tiamat kernel 1.1.4. That combination seems louder than CM7 with Tiamat for some reason.
