Root speakerphone audio switching

Hello, I have successfully used and installed Reppard's 9-20 build and am really happy with it. One thing I've noticed that has changed between the latest build and the previous builds (including the stock rom) is when you are using the speakerphone, the call audio does not output to the plugged in speakers - it goes through the phone speaker and then switches to the plugged in speakers when the call is ended. I can switch off the speakerphone and hear the sound through them but the mic in the phone is shut off. The phone is probably trying to detect a headset through the audio jack but there isn't one - just speakers. Is there a way in the settings (or maybe an app) that can switch between the the phone's mic and headset for input, or output the speakerphone through the plugged in speakers? Thanks.
