Help Speakers have died!

Has anyone had their speaks completely die on them so far? My morning alarm was going off the other day when it suddendly cut out. Afterwards I noticed that no sound was coming from the speakers - no ringtone, notifications, music- anything. Sound still worked with the earpiece however.

I checked the settings, restarted the phone etc. with no luck. I eventually rang Oragne whose immediate response was to send me a new phone through my insurance agreement (and charge me a
 
Given the number of handsets made, you can't expect every single one that comes out of the factory to be perfect. I can understand it is annoying though.

I appreciate that some flawed handsets will slip through the net. I guess my frustration is compounded by the fact that the error occurred on the first day that I managed to get HTCsense.com to actually recognise my phone (having owned it since November!).

Yeah, I can understand why that would be frustrating.
 
wow sory to hear about that. I hate having down time on items i appreciate. phone speakers are very critical. i'll have to cut down on the Beat making app.
