If you wanted everybody to make fun of you, you could get "V Cast Song ID" instead.

I used to love V-Cast Song ID, but when they ported it to android, they didn't optimize it for android. It is absolutely horrible now!

I use Shazam all the way.

Just wanted to add that the last update to the free version limited it to 5 tags per month. Anyone who had it before the update was grandfathered in to the unlimited tags, but otherwise you have to get the paid app for unlimited - about $4.50 (actually a bit more - it's 2.99GBP, so it depends on the conversion rate).

Soundhound also gets good reviews.
I use Shazam, I was grandfathered in It works well and makes buying a song through Amazon a snap.

I use Soundhound. Gives you artist, album, lyrics, etc.. Free version to try in Market. One time $5.00 for full blown version.
