Root Speech to text on custom rom?

Newbie
I've searched and searched to no avail. Do none of the custom roms support the stock "speech to text" feature?
I was on the latest ctmod for a cpl days. I liked it, but couldnt live without my Bluetooth at work.. I'm now running cm7-5 and its great. My only wish is that I still had the "speech to text"as it makes communicating at work soo much easier.. is there anyway 4 me to restore this feature?

try using bloods apk installer...find what apks you wanna reinstall then flash them in recovery..youll have to find the tts apk i believe and maybe one other i cant remember..check out bloods ctmod thread and search his removed gb apps list..he can probally answer you better for exactly what items you need to install
 
I was tinkering with an app recently called Dragon Go. I got my version off the swype installer but its also available off the market.

Dragon go

It worked fine on CTmod, but unfortunately i have a southern accent, and no voice recognition software will reliably work for me, so i can't accurately rate it.

187MoD has tts. I use my bluetooth often, so I left it installed
 
I may have to look into 187..... I had ctmods 3.1.2.
Showed a Mic on the keyboard.. when I'd click, a mic would pop up w a line through it and it'd never initialize..

you gotta add VoiceSearch.apk for the mic button to work
 
Hmm.. well. Until ctmod gets the data to SD kernel and becomes compatible with my bt headset
I'm gonna stick with cm7.. my biggest issue with the stock phone was the lack if internal memory.. and, I'm afraid, for my use, Bluetooth trumps STT.

If you want the data to sd kernel with CTMod, flash CTMod then Koumas kernel
 
Cool... one bird down... once Its compatible with my headset ill be onboard...
