Speech to Text

[rswheaton]

I am running DC 2.8.1 and love using the speech to text feature which is available everywhere there is a keyboard input. A friend of mine just downloaded the HTC 2.1 update and I noticed that he does not have this option. Was this removed from the final upgrade or is there a way to add it on to a stock Hero?

download either better keyboard or the low res xda keyboard and youll have it.

Will both of these work on a stock unrooted Hero?

Yes, unrooted phone here just updated to 2.1 and am running the low res xda version. It's awesome!

And I am running Better Keyboard on a non rooted, 2.1 update and love it. I use the text to speech almost all the time now.

where did you get the better keyboard download? From the same link above. I did not see it there?
