Speed Dial

Ok, so I've never thought about this, but my sister-in-law just got the Optimus M and asked me how to set a speed dial. I didn't know. Does any one know?
 
With a touch screen you don't get a conventional speed dial outside of the preprogrammed "Hold 1 for voicemail". What she would do is place a Contact Shortcut on her home screen and in 2 taps be able to dial them. Third-party apps may be able to modify the dialer in some fashion though.

Thanks again. :) Since getting my Optimus, I never even once gave thought to speed dial. Then my sister-in-law gets one, and asks about it. When I had a dumb phone, I think I only used it for voice mail and my wife's number. Any others and I couldn't remember which number went to whom.
