new here so play nice. is there such a thing as speeddial on my T-bolt

You can make a short cut on any home screen. Just long press, shortcut, direct dial, pick your contact.

I just open up the phone and start to spell the name of the person I wish to call. That seems pretty quick to me. You can also put a widget on one of you screens and add contacts to it and choose the default action for each contact, such as text or calling home or mobile.

I use Easy Dialer. It has quite a few options for calling and texting.
