Haven't seen any post bout this like i have the quadrant scores. I know their 2 different things. But it's just something else to say mines better than yours type thing. i don't know if rooting or overclocking would make a difference. The app is "speedtest.net"

Toward the end it says, "Verizon ... 840 Kbps/502 Kbps".

This is my fastest:

It helps to have wi-fi tho. :D

Rooting or overclocking should have no effect. If you download a lot or use tethering, Verizon might be throttling your bandwidth tho, giving you a lower reading.

wow i just tried this and was i sad. i had a .22Mbps download and a .21 Mbps upload. that is without the wifi on.

This kind of test would vary by a significant amount depending on where you are, how your reception is, and how busy the network is at the time you perform the test.

I just ran this with wi-fi turned off and got 2.62/0.85, which is a LOT higher than the last time I ran with 3G. That time was .8 download.

You did see above that the average for Verizon is .840/.502?

Last time I ran it I think I got about 1.8 mpbs dl/ .4 upload or something. That was with 3g full bars.

I would be interested to know what speeds other cell companies are getting with 3g.
