Reminder, just like the other Speedtest.net threads, the Upload from the Speedtest APP is wrong

For accurate upload speed you have to tether to a computer and run the tet on speedtest.net or do it through the thunderbolt browser.

Yeah I teathered my Gtab to my phone and got I think 7down 5up

I think app speedtest.net does not show the right upload speed. I think the burst rate screws it up or something. if I go to the website speakeasy.net or use it as a hot spot the upload speed looks much more realistic. I still don't believe the speedtest app being accurate when it shows 30+ upload speed.

I've been using the site, not app...and have been getting anywhere from 12 to 22 down and 3 to 4 up.
VERY impressed on the phone...

Whenever I try to bring it up in the TB browser it always takes me to the App store to download app.

LOL... I did the same thing.

Speeds through the WiFi Hotspot feature seem to be a little slower than directly on the phone.

Getting speeds from 7Mbps to 13.6 here in the metro San Diego area. Near my house in the hills with 2 bars, I still got around 11, but IN my house, the phone reverted to 3G.

Still, I'm very impressed with LTE so far. Coverage seems to be good, and the speeds are excellent.

you have to change your browser settings to desktop string.

type about:debug in your address bar and then hit enter.

nothing would happen. Then go to settings and go all the way down to Uastring and select desktop. Now every website will show up in desktop mode.

That's probably a good thing - you can connect to your wifi (which I assume you have) when you are inside and use 3G for calls - much less battery drain.

On the website Speakeasy.net

From Philly
Server Location: Washington DC

20.76 Mbps - Download
3.63 Mbps - Upload

Boy I love this thing.....Funny I was in a 3G zone for a little bit today and it felt that it was so much slower. I feel like this when I first got a Plasma HD TV and flipped to a regular channel and thought how did I ever watch this crap before!

Side note - Moderate use all day, still have 43% battery left. Not bad. Unplugged since 8:00 AM and its now 4:00PM

We've been playing with the LG VL600 LTE usb broadband here at work for a while and that was one of the reasons I wanted to grab this phone and check the speeds. Our cards have had as high as 20m down and 6 up numerous times but I'd say averages are 13 - 15 up and 3 or so down. Very impressed with the LTE, just crossing fingers it doesn't degrade too much in the months to come.

edit:

from the browser in desktop mode 13 d and 3.6 u, bring me some netflix! lol
