Root SPH-M930 Proprietary files?

bmfc187

Newbie
HI, Im working on building a Rom but I need some help with getting all the proprietary files and what-not needed to compile for the TU specifically. I was just wondering if anyone could hook me up with an extract-files.sh or something, or tell me what files i need and how to get a rom running on this device. Ive got a build running in the emulator, but i cant get it running without the proprietary files for the device and i dont really know which files i need. if somebody could help me out with that id appreciate it. thanks!

This may or may not be what you are looking for.

Well, you're sort of right. That is the file I'm looking for, but it's for the moto stingray and thats not the device im working on. Plus that file already comes with the source, what i need is the extract-files.sh for Samsung SPH-M930. Im assuming that the only way i can get that file is to either get it from someone who already has it worked out, or to reverse engineer the file myself, which could take quite a while to find and resolve all dependencies, so i was trying to hopefully skip that step and see if I can get the files I need from someone who already has them. Anyone who is currently maintaining a ROM for this device should have the files i need...

You see, normally when i get a new phone and start playing with ROMs, you can just go to github and fork from someone who has the vendor tree for whatever device, its usually pretty easy to find SOMEBODY with the files you need, so no big deal, but the TU is a pretty obscure device with a pretty small user-base, and there's nobody on github who has the vendor tree for this device. the closest i have found is bobZhome is working on the kernel, and interdpth is/was working on CM and the vendor tree for building CM on the TU is on his github but im not looking to build CM, really, so it doesnt help me much.

I guess what I'm asking is if anyone who is currently developing ROMs for the TU can hook me up with the files I need to get my build running on the TU...as far as proprietary dependencies, anyways.

You could try pming Chevanlol360, Smith058, or Davegrow. Other than Interdpth, those are the only guys with Roms. Hope that helps.
