Spiraling size of stock HTC desire internet app

Until recently my stock internet app was around 6 or 7 mb, but has now started to creep up, into 14mb. I don't have a large cache, in fact, there's nothing in there. I have deleted old bookmarks, but no, up and up the figure goes. :-s

Anyone have any idea about this? I really am stumped as to how it's getting bigger and bigger recently

Go to settings > Manage Applications then go to all. Have a look at your browser and select "Wipe Data". If you've never cleared it it could be massive.

I've not wiped data before as I regularly use the bookmarks there. I guess I could try wiping it, and start again. It just seems strange that it's suddenly doubled though there's nothing in the cache, and fewer bookmarks than usual. Maybe it's storing form data that's doing it?
