Help Splashtop and note 2 [not working]

Anyone using spalshtop and note 2? i cannot get the keyboard to type when i try to sign into my remote computer. can anyone try and see if they can? i tried on 4g and wifi no go

yes thanks i am using it too but i wanted to get splashtop to work as well.

I am using Splashtop Remote on an HP TouchPad that I have rooted and run a Jelly bean ROM (OaT Light 'n Tasty JB) but I was also running SplashTop remote when I was running webOS on the tablet. I also run Splashtop Remote on my HTC Thunderbolt phone (also rooted with a Gingerbread ROM). More recently I was having difficulties making the connection to my laptop... and today I solved the problem:

Essentially, I needed to go into my anti-virus software (Microsoft Essentials) and add in a list of files from Spashtop into the Firewall exception list and then create a new firewall policy for opening ports used by Spashtop remote.

I am now able to connect both with my HP TouchPad and with my HTC Thunderbolt running a Gingerbread ROM. Hope this helps others.
