Split Screen on s3?

Oh didn't realize it was a Samsung thing. Is it safe to say that newer versions of AOKP and CM will be getting it?

Or is that only going to be a TW thing?
 
Nope. Many Samsung features are too reliant on samsung's proprietory code that it wont be possible for AOSP / AOKP / CM to get this...

I'm in Australia so my SIII in the International Version, therefor no at&t or other USA problems, and I can run Omega v34 and Indie has put Multi Windows as a part of that rom.

Its the one thing holding me back from flashing.
At 1st i thought "ill see what official JB is like"
Its nothing special then they announce split screen lol.
Itl probably be months till we get it anyway lol, ill just flash i think.

is it true, youtube doesnt work with split screen?

Or that only core stock apps work?

(Heard two rumours lol)

I think only stock apps but isn't youtube classed as stock? I can't really say as I have a modified version that works with all apps*

Yes that was odd. I'm not sure how that happened.

I guess Samsung had the UK version ready to go and distributed it to UK carriers who amended it to their branding and pushed it out. Meanwhile, Samsung's infrastructure was still busy pushing out unbranded versions to other European countries...

I was 3 branded but I'm actually rooted. I've been running 4.1.2 for weeks and was running 4.1.1 before it was released officially anywhere too.
 
YouTube working here although I'm the same as the SU I have a mod that allows me to place all my apps inside the multi view bar but if I remember correctly the YouTube app was already apart of it
 
I still don't know if I can flash a 4.1.2 with split screen for AT&T, most of the roms in XDA do not include multiwindow.

Does anybody know of a rom with multiwindow for i747?
 
I actually got a video playing from a FB post while still able to scroll through the comments of the post. I did it accidentally, but I found it was quite handy. In general, I don't really plan to use this feature that much.

No, you'd need a "official" leak first or some crazy porting to be done. It's one to wait for for now I think.

are you on the i747? with at&t? I've asked so many people is there anyway to get multi window on my at&t galaxy s3? idc if its flashing a rom or whatever idc. several people have told me its impossible
