Help Spotify > sd card

I know I'm not the only person with this issue, and I know there is info available via a google search, but there are so many outdated threads with no real answer, people who have posted to use the old version of the app but from months ago, etc.

Does anyone know a usable work-around for the time being? The 2GB internal space on the OE is fine for apps, but it doesn't work well if you have a Spotify premium account, and the face that the OE seems to barely save anything to the real external sd card makes this an issue.
