Spousal tolerance

OMG there are forums about fedoras. Guys I may become a little less active here
do they have forum games?

Well that about kills it for me, thanks to AF forum games are #1 on my "needs of a forum" list...:D

So has she accepted that is it okay for you to be moderating at AF (or at least that she can't stop you)?

They're far too busy planning parties at which to wear their vintage hats, clothing, and eye wear.

I don't think they do.

That is a sexist remark!

A lot of people find digital games boring. We'd rather be outside playing some kind of game than just sitting.

Wait! What? Are you telling me that I'm not going to get paid for all this time. Darn! Why didn't I get that memo.

Phases' elephant might have eaten your peanuts...

Well I've not dealt with mine in months so I'm kinda worried about D. I kinda doubt she remembers anything I did online however since she was always more wrapped up with something or someone else

Honestly I'm more worried about my employer finding out how much I'm on AF when I should be doing work :D
I wonder how much spying does an employer do anyway? I mean do the IT people see an influx for a site and flag it to the appropriate manager?

I'm new, but I'm getting on AF almost every evening.

I don't know where I'm at in the spectrum. He spends most of his time browsing a custom hats forum. We sit on the couch and are each on our forums. Sometimes even happily chatting about our respective forums.

Best of both worlds?

I think that's how one goes about with an interest that your SO has no interest in. You have your interest and your SO has his/her and you both have time spent on your interest.

When I was with my ex, he was quite jealous of my Android addiction. I read all of the Android news and tipping any to the Phandroid writers if they haven't published it, as well as moderating both AF and Phandroid. My ex was a gamer so when I hung out at his place, I forced him to play one of his Xbox games...so that I can go on AF without any guilt.

I'm sure some do more than others. AFAIK it takes a good bit of traffic to alert anyone at my work of something that is off. I know a guy who watchs anime all shift and nobody has said anything to him. But when half the office was on Facebook nonstop they did block it

I got 'spoken to' regarding my high internet usage while involved in the Nexus pre release thread. So I stopped using the work computer and my productivity dropped even more since I was checking my phone rather than just flipping screens on the computer.

So I spent yesterday afternoon on a jaunt with my wife and my four year old. On the drive, we started talking about AF and this thread came up in the conversation. Needless to say, I let her read it when we got home and she was laughing out loud, so now what I do here is a little more tolerable to her.

She also had to sit and wait (looking over my shoulder) while I checked in with a few folks first before I would giver her my laptop, and she was impressed. I guess that means I qualify for option A.:D

Give your wife a cookie!

I read that waiting to see input from the four year-old about AF. Does the child have an iPhone? :D

No, he uses my OG Droid. I push games to it from the Market and he picks up on it immediately. I may have to upgrade him to my retired D2 as some of the new games won't load:D. It is only my alarm clock now anyway, the OG should handle that task pretty well for a few more years.

edit: Actually, he has commented. When you guys make me chuckle in your posts, he comes over and says hey, the gangster (Frisco), or the red guy with a pig (lunatic59) made you laugh daddy. And Yeehha, he said your picture was scary.

Ah the simple yet accurate mind of a four year-old. ;)

Hey, "ganster?!" Tell him detective. 30s or 40s detective. The good guy. :p

Too funny. My daughter knows which color I assigned to lightflow for forum notifications and always asks if anyone said anything good.

Lol

Duly noted, I will inform him this evening. I don't know what to tell him about yeaha, I think he changes his avatar hourly.

Tell him to check later. I may have one he would like better ;) like later this week I kinda like this current one

Well, he gave up on spousal approval so he could do that.

:D

That is just a fringe benefit

I wasn't trying to be sexist. The Fedora Lounge is about vintage/custom hats, vintage clothing, and vintage accessories. They actually plan a "Fedora Fest" each year. I was simply poking a bit of fun at the Fedora Lounge for not having forum games as AF has. Sorry to have upset you. :(
