[Sprint] Bootloader will not load.. ODIN access only.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Sprint. I don't know any more about which series.

The phone suddenly went into a boot loop and hung up on the google logo permanently.
I did a little research and found out about the Bootloader and Odin.
The Bootloader will not come up. I get a vibrate after holding the Vol UP+down and power buttons, but the screen stays black. it doesn't matter how long i hold the three buttons aftwerwords or anything.

I can however get into Odin. I tried downloading the stock sprint tar.md5 file. it locks up on the CDMA radio img file and will not procede. did this 3 times. hangs up on that file. waited approximately 30 minutes for each try.
I was left with a phone that didn't even display the odin page correctly. and would not show the google logo anymore. just a yellow triangle between a phone and a monitor.

Tried using a file editor i found to break down the package and just install the boot.img, recovery.img, and bootloader.img

Now I have a fully functioning Odin page but the phone still hangs up on the google logo and I still get the single vibrate and a black screen for the bootloader menu.

Anyone know how to completely redo a phone with access to ODIN only? or at least know how to repair a mucked up bootloader?

Odin normally is the way to fix a completely broken phone :( have you tried redownloading the Tar? Personally I have never dealt with Odin and have only ever used bootloader to restore my phone.

Could you happen to tell us what happened that put your phone into the bootloop? Were you flashing radios? Flashing ROMs not built for the Sprint version of the Gnex? Any possible lead would be nice.

Those are the correct TARs. Just get the full tar (if it has a .md5 extension that's fine, it will work too) and the LTE tar. Flash them in the order of full tar then the LTE tar. Then you should be good to go.

I have never tried flashing a bootloader....how is that even done? Does the Odin tar file also include a bootloader or can you do that separately through Odin? I've never heard of a bootloader just randomly going bad. Your phone was just completely stock? Had you even unlocked the bootloader? Anything? You might try taking it in to Sprint if you never messed with it.

But in all honestly, it sounds like you did SOMETHING to make this happen. Like I've said above, I've never seen a bootloader just go bad. Are you SURE you're pressing the buttons correctly? As soon as you feel it vibrate, let go of the buttons.

yes the phone was completely stock. i had not done a thing to it previously.
I did not however have their coverage package which is why i started looking up all this information about bootloaders and such to avoid having to pay an outrageous fee to simply flash a new image.
Unfortunately now that I flashed the FH05 tar i get an unlocked symbol below my google logo when it freezes up. So that makes going to sprint pretty difficult.

as for the bootloader.img It is included in the full tar.md5 file. The md5 file is a compilation of boot.img, bootloader.img, system.img, recovery.img and the radio images. you can watch which image odin is loading in the progress bar. During the install Odin hangs up on the Radio-cdma.img and never finishes the install of the full tar file. I've left it for over an hour and nothing finishes. the tutorial shows it taking less than 5 minutes to completely flash the phone.

Ok. Man this is weird. Well, have you just tried the Odin file once? Bad downloads can happen. I would try to download it again. I thought I read of people having issues with the version of Odin listed in that thread so maybe you could try out a different version of Odin to see if that helps.

I used the FH05 Tar files on the thread you listed above. The youtube video linked in that video was helpful too. I assume you followed all of those steps to a T? In the last couple posts of the thread, it looks like a set of drivers was posted by JediNinjafication. Is Odin properly recognizing your phone? The QBKing video on the OP of that thread should show you exactly how you know that Odin recognizes your phone.

Maybe try one of the other TAR files listed in that thread? They should work, just different versions of the stock software.
