Root [Sprint] Bricked Sprint LG G2 HELP PLEASE!

ianrosean

Newbie
I have the Sprint LG LS980, I had it rooted with TWRP installed, the new kitkat update downloaded to my phone automatically even though I had the DerpG2 rom installed, well anyway I must have accidentally clicked on the update while it was in my pocket and it installed and bricked my phone, now my phone will only boot to TWRP 2.6.3.3, I tried following some of the guides on here by installing the LG support tool and everything but for some reason when i try to download the KDZ file from Directory Listing of //Xda/LG G2/Stock/Sprint LS980/ it only downloads between 3-4 hundred megabytes and says its finished everytime making the file corrupt and unusable, now can someone please point me in a direction to download this file somewhere else or what I can do to fix this ?

I already tried reinstalling Derp G2 rom through recovery and it still will not boot. any help is greatly appreciated! and if you give me a resolution I will donate $10 through paypal

I tried the method without ADB by typing in that line to TWRP terminal command and it copied something but it still won't boot, i dont think that method will work since I tried to flash another rom over it

thanks for the links man but for some reason my damn computer is not downloading all the files completely. idk what the hell is going on

Hmm, as in error out or just freezing? I've had the latter happen when I had a router utility app on my machine. Turns out it was limiting downloads. In my case it was a NetGear router and a free software they provide called NetGear Genie I believe. Had to uninstall that and downloads started wworking again. Just spitballing there man. Maybe try an alternate browser too?

I tried chrome internet explorer and firefox, it looks like the downloads finish but it reslly only downloads about a quarter of the whole file size and then I cant open cuz windows says the zip is invalid, also where it usually shows the time remaining it says unknown amount of time remaining or something to that effect

Yeah that's very odd. My only other idea short of using a different PC to acquire the files would be to try a 3rd party download manager maybe. Not real sure what to suggest tho, I run Linux primarily. :o

Sorry for bothering you guys on such an old post..
I have an ls 980 running 5.0.2 which was network locked to sprint i rooted it through one click root then using an app named "Flashify" i installed TWRP custom recovry for lg ls 980.My phone asked me to reboot to complete flashing,I rebooted it and then it went it some type of crash screen it gave Two options to reboot another was some DL type thing..
I rebooted it . As soon as my phone rebooted it showed me that my phone is 100 percent charged (it was 75%) and now its not accepting charge.so please give your valuable suggestions to what to do now??
