Did anyone else hear about this? Does this affect rooted users who tether? If i cant get unlimited data I might as well jump ship to Verizon! LOL..

Root Sprint capping hotspot data plan at 5GB

LOL. This is for their mobile broadband and hotspot plans. In other words mobile broadband cards and hotspot $30 plans.
Lets itterate: If you pay $30 for their plan, you get capped. If you root and wifi-tether, you don't get capped.

They know phones cant dent their network the hotspots can. So that's what they limit. They boasting their unlim phones, but in reality most people can't even reach that 2gb limit on a cellphone with no tethering. Youtube on a phone is actually very little bandwidth.

My Father actually reaches 5gb per month on just the phone data. Please don't ask me how cause I personally scratch my head to that question every month. His phone is not rooted and he does not have the wireless tether option so trust me he is doing it straight up through the phone browser.

Or just flash the VZW prl and still pay less, and avoid having to use the evil empire that is VZW...
