[Sprint] Codename Android 3.8.0

Android Expert
Now from what I understand about CNA, it's suppose to be the truth. "Legendary" was the word one of my crack flashing (well respected and very knowledgeable) acquaintances used to describe this ROM.

I take no credit for the following:

"Codename Android is a rom that focuses on speed, usability, and getting every feature that I can get CRAMMED in there. This rom will include features from all over (credit given of course). This is simply something I wanted to share that I thought would be fun to put together, and have worked hard on making all of the features play together nicely and organized them in such a way that they would be very easy to use. Codename Android is back and releasing roms again, have fun, flash away.

Side-note: Codename Android is an open source project, but due to the spontaneity of the posting of the rom, full, compilable source will be released on the github within a day or two."

Check out Codename's site here.

As always, if you like a Dev's work PLEASE DONATE!!!

First impressions. Really responsive, smooth, and TON'S OF CUSTOMIZATION capability!!! It's like Skank and AOKP rolled into one!!! I'll report back after running this a day or two. Give this a shot y'all!

Alright, it's been two days since I've flashed CNA, and I'm thoroughly impressed. CNA is super lean, packed with a plethora of features, and optimized for SPEED!! This thing is BLAZING with Lean kernel set with a max. of 920! As I mentioned above, the best way I can describe this ROM, is that it's a combination of CM10 & AOKP, with believe or not, so much more (for full feature list, check OP above). As of 2 days ago, this is my daily driver and I'm keeping a close eye on the progress of this ROM.

This ROM is an Alpha, so there are going to be a few bugs (as expected) and I found a couple of very minor ones that I'd like to mention to give you guys (and gals) a heads up.

1. When the screen is locked and you pull down the notification bar, one of my nav bar soft keys is missing.

2. When I choose a custom image on lock screen, it only works sometimes.

Outside of that, I recommend you give it a go!

I've been running this also, with TNP1344-384-JB-STABLE35 trinity kernel. Seems very stable.

I also noticed the notification panel issue, but its minor.

Also curious about the settings > about phone > sprint/prl update screens? Should they be there?

Great work, thanks for putting this out.

How is this different than the "[ROM] AOKP [UNOFFICIAL] nightly - JellyBean - 4.1.1" on XDA?

Also curious about the settings > about phone > sprint/prl update screens? Should they be there?

How is this different than the "[ROM] AOKP [UNOFFICIAL] nightly - JellyBean - 4.1.1" on XDA?

1. Yes

2. Unofficial AOKP has a ton of work that needs to be done to be caught up with CNA. Weather in the lockscreen, lockscreen slider shortcuts, volume rocker wake, and some other features I can't think of atm to name a few. CNA is boss over AOKP when it comes to customization, not to mention that it's a lot leaner than AOKP which in turn equals a more snappier and responsive ROM IMO.

Looks like a good rom. I am stuck on skank right now. I will give it a go after a few updates.

Please do. It's better than Skank IMO (and that's a pretty bold statement because I love Skank), and I was pretty stuck on Skank, even on ICS.

If you end up trying, please post your experience.

New build is available 3.1.0.
