Root [Sprint/Cricket] Cannot get into Cmw

I have a rooted GalaxyS3 and it won't allow me into Cmw I have been able to do it once tonight. I was getting ready to remove some apps from my phone but I remember that I have to make a back up so I went to make my back up but it wouldn't load Cmw it's just loaded the basic android recovery screen. I have tried pulling out the battery putting it back it holding down the buttons util the blue letters pop up letting it go nothing just the android recovery screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. I have su so I know I'm rooted

Welcome to the forum bud!! Try this, reroot using qbking77s method and unchecked f.reset. that caused the exact same issue for me until I unchecked that box, then viola!!! I had cwm!! Then promptly replaced it with TWRP lol

Rfj1979 doesn't have to re-root to get CWM then TWRP because he/she is already rooted.

Install the app GooManager and open it. Tap menu then hit Install OpenRecoveryScript. Tap Yes. Verify that the filename displays your device's code name and hit Yes. The file will download and your device will install the recovery automatically.

you can give the latter a whirl, but if it doesnt work, try the former. Its more time consuming and requires a computer but its a dead lock and ive never done what musicjunkie is suggesting, but i do trust him

Could you please let us know what happens when you do the goomanager process? if it works, itll help others not waste time doing the reroot process unnecessarily. Thanks man! or girl, or whatever. Dangit musicjunkie!!! I usually assume everyone in here is male, and now you got me doubting myself LOL!!!!

BTW, "better" is an understatement!!! If you can just skip right to TWRP, youre a lucky.... uhm.... ::insert noun for whichever gender you are here:: cuz comparing the two is like comparing a 1986 ford fiesta to a 2012 ferrari 458 italia!!! Ok, maybe thats going a bit far, or is it?
