Root [Sprint/Cricket] Do I root now?

That method worked great for me. I switched to TWRP as well. I am not trying to decide which rom to try out first :)

I agree. Root now. Even if you want the JB OTA (whenever it gets released) someone will have a rooted version that you can just flash (like the LI3 that was just released). The devs and other people are working pretty hard on our phone.
 
I couldn't wait.... Rooted and loving it. I will flash jb once out. Just make sure you set up Google wallet before root. You can't add cards after root but it stills works.

Honestly I will never use Google Wallet so it doesn't bother me that it's borked now, lol.
 
I use it at the pump all the time... Love it. That and McDonalds lol people give me the what was that look when I do it.
 
Only way I think it will work is to unroot. Then activate wallet, add cards, and then root again. I haven't found a way to add cards while rooted. I have checked xda, galaxy, and nexus forums and no one has been able to do it or remove the incomparable device error.

According to one thread it said I'm still able to use it seeing as how I've never set it up but I will still get an error that will show up but it will still work. I still won't use it, lol.

Yes, the Google mastercard. But that pre paid card is going away Oct 17th. If you want to use your own cards you can't add them while the incomparable device error is being display. Now, I haven't tried adding the cards on my computer then reinstalling Google wallet. But I know they don't show up if you do add them with a computer.only the ones that were added before root.

Gotcha, well I'll just use my cards the regular way then lol
 
I'm actually gonna unroot add all my cards then root again lol. Cuz you know that they say... Once you go root you can't go back to stock ^o^

****UPDATE ****

There is no need to unroot... If you add cards via your chrome browser and set the new card as default it will update on your wallet app. SO THERE IS NO REASON TO UNROOT
