Root [Sprint] Digiblur Note2 ROM - MK4 Deodex Rom updated 1-23-14

Doc

Android Expert
Well I have been testing again as im wanting to get even more features and one of them is the up coming 4.3 update for the NoteII with that said I wanted a rom that I could check and update PRL, firmware and update Samsung software. And after testing all TW roms on xda I have found one that does it and runs very well, all features I tested worked, I did have to add secexchange.apk to the rom to get exchange email but that was it, this rom runs extremely fast and smooth(see screenies) and actually beating all other scores I have ran. Still have a few more things to check but looks like I have a new daily driver lol.....:D;):)

I assume you had to the flash the MC2 update first ??

Umm wonder why he says to flash that first before flashing the Rom

Installation

Make sure you have flashed the MC2 all in Firmware by t3project (Here)
Install the ROM in TWRP (data wipe is optional but you are on your own)
Look in the system folder after flashing to determine your ROM version number if needed

I would assume that when he first did the rom, it was still MA7, since he has updated it, it runs on MC2. :)

Yep same-thing happens on Whomp Roms to me also, if you recall, there is a fix for that if it bothers you, because if you are getting the hands-free activation 1500 error message, means that you cannot update profile either. It is something with Nvdata being corrupted.

Thank you for the link sir.....;)

Edit:Worked like a charm, profile updates along with everything else..... Kudos to you sir lol...

Yep I just got back from shopping and I really like this, the LTE seems to be alittle better and 3g signal seems better also, going to run for a few days, do some traveling around Portland and see how it holds up, so far so good.....:thumb:

Kool keep us posted, back on Mackrom so will wait to see if you prefer this Rom

Did you flash the fix it worked for me

Yes sir I did, worked perfectly, going to run for a few days, so far its running great, like the idea of having the updates back, its a very basic rom, all the bloat ware and a lot of stuff I don't use has been taken out which has been what I have been looking for and its very fast lol...... And if I run across anything I need I can just install it.

I will let you know......;):):D

By the way he does recommend to flash the MA7 to MC 2 file at the same time to be on the same base. I will quote Digi words exact below.

Quoted by Digiblur

I would flash at the same time so you are on matching basebands.

Hm I don't see how that would have any effect, its working great and as you can see from my earlier post that im on MC2 baseband, if I run into any issues I will give it as try....;)

Well after the first day im very impressed, I do about a 45 min ride on what they can the MAX (railway) and I move between a lot of cell towers, drop in and out of 3g and 4g LTE, on other roms it would take about 20 to 30 secs for the transfer to compete and Im usually steaming music while im on the train, anyways this morning, no burps at all, no buffering, no skips, nothing but music lol.

Everything so far is working extremely well and im loving my LTE speeds lol..;)

Kool, I will have to test drive it this week when I get a chance. I like the LTE icon also, hope it is truly LTE and not 4G ;) But glad you reported back with your findings, I will give you another day or do before me flashing, as I know you like to switch, so if you're still on this Rom in a few days I know that is still a good sign, LOL.

Also I want to wait, BC if I flash this Rom I will have to install fresh install from scratch, so won't be able to restore my data, since it is on a different base-band, don't want to have issues with foreclose on apps. :smokingsomb:

Post some of your screenshots when you get a chance, like to see your setup

Well second day all I can say is im really liking this, one thing I did forget to mention is the voicemail app works with this as I couldn't get to work with HAwk, speaker phone is great, you will have to go into the STweaks setting under audio and adjust the mic to make it clear and not garbled. Great battery life ran all day, streaming tunes this morning and this afternoon got down to 70% for almost 9 hrs so yea think I may have a new daily.

Here are some screenies of my setup lol......:):D;)

Looks great bud. Funny, that is the same issue I was having on Hawk with the speaker phone, they said I was Gargle. So it must be a default setting that is set on STweaks, just curious how you set it, and too what, did you have to call someone to check it to see ??

I am still on MackRom and that is also running good, but on the weekend, I will try Digi Roms, and start setting it up a little at a time, once I have it set right, then will run it for a few days

In the meantime here is a screenshot of the MackRom on my home page

Very cool I like that man...........;)

Here is the setting im using in stweaks, default is 25 which is way to much, just adjust down, I set mine at 15 and used it today for a call to some vendors and it worked fine. :)

Probably the reason why I had issues with the speaker phone with the Hawk Rom, interesting, will have to check that out, so you are saying it is set by default to 25 ??

Yes sir, it took alittle to get exactly were I wanted it but I found 15 to work good for me, you may have to go higher or lower, you will just have to test which you can do in a call with no problem :)

Well made the switch, going to stay with Digiblur, so many reasons to stay with it, to many to number, everything just works.

I will keep Hawks as a backup but i found my daily driver............;):D:)

OK, my Mack Rom has also been running good, then I read a few having freezing issues on DigiBlur Rom, so was not sure I was going to test it. Now that you tell me it is good, then I will definitely try it over the weekend if I get a chance. ;)

Doc, are you still on this Rom, I have not had a chance to flash it as of yet as I have been really busy with RL, and also getting ready to leave on Friday to go on vacation, so while away I may give it a shot if your still on it.
