If I use Google to restore my apps instead of TB, do I let it restore the app settings and data or just the apps?

I assume you mean if you factory reset and sign in to your Google account, Google re-installing apps that way? If so that will just restore the app, not the app data / settings.

The reason I ask is some ROMs say don't update anything using titanium backup. It used to be don't restore system apps but recently I've seen a lot of people say don't use tb to restore any apps, especially with Sourcery. So I want to use google backup and restore to restore my app. You have the option to restore the settings and the data when restoring an app or to just restore the app (setting --> backup & reset). All you Sourcery users - do you restore app data using google?

I have always used tb to restore apps on every ROM that I've run. Never once had any issue. Just make sure not to restore system apps only user.
