Root [Sprint] Great Rom: Hawkish_EXTREME_SERIES ROM

I just set up apex again and play with it a little

I prefer the key board on Whomp though bc it had symbols on the letters, this one doesn't
 
OK, I did drive north a little to test out the 3G that is brutal in those areas, and they are the same on this Rom.

I need to find the Samsung Keyboard that comes with Whomp Rom to install on this Rom if I am going to stay on it, I like the symbols in the letter so you can long-press to use. Much more convenient.

Another thing I did notice on this Rom, when on a call the phone stays off if you move it away from your ear, with Whomp, if you have movement the screen would come back on without having to hit the power key, this one does not.

Other then a few reboots, this Rom is running solid so far. ;)

Interesting about the keyboard, on mine I have two, google keyboard and Samsung as the default and both work, I don't know which one whomp has correct me if im wrong but isn't whomp a aosp rom, if so then its going to be the asop keyboard.

Also that's interesting about the screen, you may want to enable the Smart stay in the display settings...........:)
 
No Whomp is Stock without the bloat. On your keyboard, in the letters do you have symbols in your letter on top of each letter ??

If it look like this, its Swipe free version, but in the description of whomp it says Android 4.2 Launcher, GMail, Keyboard, Camera, & Desk Clock

No it is not Swype, actually I have Swype also the paid version, but that does not give you the number row on top, I may restore my Nandroid and then take a screen shot to show you, That is why I haven't use Swype in a while because I liked the symbols with the letters and the row of numbers on top.

Yep I found it, trying to get it installed, first one hosed my phone lol. Think its called AxT9IME
 
Hosed your phone ?? What did it do, don't sweat it bro, not a biggie, I went back to Swype for now.

Man no worries at all ;) that's why they make backups for lol, it took like two minutes to get back up and as much as I do this, its second nature for me. That's why they call me a flash freak lol. ;)
 
Have you been having issues with the speaker phone, when I talk to others on speaker they say they having trouble hearing what I am saying, all gargled. I also get some force close saying exchange has stopped. I may do another fresh install and see, but figured I would ask first to see if you have had any on those issues, could also be issues with app and data restores ;)

Hmm interesting, no I actually use my speaker phone for conference calls twice a week and haven't had anyone complain about it, actually I have my setting set In stweaks really loud and its still clear. And haven't had any issues with exchange all tho we use a web base exchange server. If you wipe it, do this to make sure its clean, do a wipe three times and that's just to make sure to get everything and naturally do a wipe dalvik as usual :)
 
I have also noticed I have not been able to get the WiFi Hot spot to work anymore, I have also tried WiFi Tether same result. It use to work with Whomp, and then after a while stopped with that Rom also. Weird it connects, but says no internet.

Yea, we have a fix on the GS II rooted section from xda, im mobile now but once I get home I will shoot you the link ;)
 
Could also be when I installed this Rom, I did a data restore to not have to set up the all my apps and homescreens, to test the ROM, I guess I will have to do a fresh install, LOL :p

Oh so others are not working either for HotSpot, I thought it was only me.

It depends I havent, but I know some have on xda, we ran across it with the GSII but yea might want to do a fresh install first lol ;):p
 
Shoot me the fix when you have a sec, I could of used it earlier today, Comcast was out here today for 2 hours, and had work to do, and could not. I will do afresh install on the weekend, don't have the patience to have to set up all my settings and apps from scratch again, I use to be a flashaholic when I had the Evo 3D, but that got old fast, LOL :p

Change setup method: Netd-Ndc (master)
Sent Netd Max Client Cmd: check
Enable wifi encryption: check (set your password)
Wifi driver reload: check (only the first one, not reload 2)
Routing fix: check (might already be defaulted that way)
 
I just noticed that is for Trevs WiFi tether, is your hotspot working ??

I also posted over at XDA to see if others are having the same issue.

Yep my stock one works fine, used at lunch today on my laptop. Most likely what's happened is when you restored some files from your back up it may have moved over something that fubarred your tethering but I have used this in the past and as long as I had it set for a LTE version it worked for me, worth a try till you get it reflashed
