Root Sprint Hotspot works with 2.2 w/o root!/ Titanium restore

The main reason I rooted my evo was to get the wifi tethering.. I'm rooted with unrevoked 3 right now with 2.1, I've been hearing that 2.2 is buggy so idk if now would be a good time to upgrade and get rid of the root..

Also since titanium is a root app, will I be able to restore my apps if I upgrade without rooting?

2.2 has been working nicely for me. You will not be able to run titanium backup if you go to OTA 2.2. Why don't you just do a full root or look into unRevoked Forever?
 
okay your topic makes one statement while body talks about something different. Does hotspot work with 2.2 like your topic claims ?


*edit No, it does not work on 2.2.
