[Sprint] I need help in regards to rooting

Perfect, as long as it is windows, you should have almost no issue using Wugs on that, or doing it manually. If it's a mac, then I believe it has to be done manually.

I am busy for rest of night, I will post in morning what happens when go through process with other PC. The PC I was working on had some issues(it was given to me), so I put a temporary windows XP on it...but I think the error is with the PC and that's why the PC reboots during rooting process. Once I get this nexus done I'm going to put Linux on that old PC. :)

Okay, sorry took so long to update you guys on my rooting adventure. I been busy with other things so just got to try to root again this morning. I borrowed a LapTop and through Wugs Nexus root toolkit.....successfully rooted the phone. :) Now I wonder what error I have on this old desktop that is causing problems? As it will not recognize phone as Mass Storage Device or MTP? When I first restored windows on here it would, but for about a week now it hasn't? It recognizes Android ADB but not as the MSD or MTP? Anyway, thank you guys for your help and patience! Now question is...what can I do with this rooted device? :)

I'm not sure why it's not recognising the device as mtp device. It should have no problem seeing it as both adb and mtp. My guess is that it has something to do with the driver for mtp not being set up properly since being configured for adb. As for rooting the device, congrats on getting it to work and opening the door to more freedom with your device. Now that you're rooted, you essentially have administrator privileges on your device. This will allow you to run some apps that you didn't have access to earlier such as Titanium Backup which allows you to backup as well as restore all your apps. Another common app is AdFree or another app of that nature that allows you to block most of those pesky ads you see in your apps. Other interesting things you can do is with root + custom recovery (twrp), you now have the ability to run custom roms and/or kernel on your device that can allow you to better performance or appearance.
