sprint navigation update

Has anyone used the navigation since the update? I tried it yesterday and it was horrifically inaccurate. I never had any problems previously, but the new system doesn't even recognize the roads in my city..

I used it 2 nights ago and it worked alright, although I did end up changing the route cause it took me a ways out of the way, other than that it was great!

Yes, if you uninstall, it will go back to 2.1 and will give you an update prompt each time you launch. This is exactly what happens to me. I running 2.1 because I get a blank screen when i try to launch 2.8

Yep I did the update two days ago and didn't think anything of it.

Now I open it and it goes to a black screen. FC or, reopen and it works. Close it again properly with the Exit menu and then open it back up and it goes to a damn black screen.
How freaking lame. Seriously!

AND on top of that it's freaking bigger in size! Uninstalling and going back to OLDER version since I NEVER had a problem with it. I like the sprint app a lot, it's to the point and easy to use. After this update it's been nothing but fail!

Good job sprint, way to do it again!

Unrooted.
Phone not recognized.
Chose HTC.
Downloaded/installed apk.
First install failed.
Second time worked.
Reopened app - black screen. *Reboot and now works.
No Premium, no #4 weather. Wisconsin.
Getting route is hideously slow.

*Spoke too soon. Works at first after reboot. But after closing and reopening app, doesn't open. Sigh.

Just to clarify, mine says Sprint Navigation Premium at the top of the main screen, where the options say Drive To, Search, Maps & Traffic, Share & More. Doesn't say Premium on the About screen.

Maybe you can uninstall it and re-download it?

I dunno what else...maybe someone else can weigh in on this?

I downloaded it and had to install it with the package installer and don't have the weather option either. Then I had to do a nandroid back-up and reinstall it and still no weather. This same thing happened when I updated my BB Curve, a few people had the weather option and I didn't along with a lot of other people. Maybe it has to do with where you live.

To those spending hours trying to get Weather... Your in a Car, look out the window.

My 2.8 is not Premium, it did "black screen" on first lunch after the install but I just rebooted and works fine now.

Has anyone tried chosing 'Sprint' instead of 'HTC' for the upgrade when your phone isn't recognized and if so, is the app behaving correctly?

I have a feeling that PREMIUM and REGULAR are more tied to your account rather than the APK...

When I click the Icon, notice it says "logging in".

Alas, I am stuck with regular...'tis ok since I am probably going to use Google Maps when the Andriod update comes out...

Nice, that's quite helpful. As an FYI, I don't care about the weather portion, its just an easy way to know what you have. What is useful is the voice input without having to make a call. But thanks for being condescending!

Your welcome.

I type addresses on the website and sync them with the phone

I have a moment and I can not get the 2.8 Premuim. It is not location because my mom and I live in the same place and her phone updated to Premuim. Our accts are setup the same per the manager at the Sprint store. I am not concerned about the weather options. I want the speech input option I had before. I am still within my 30 days of owning this phone and I am demanding that they make my phone have the same nav. system my mom got when she did the update. According to Sprint this is not a known issue. I told them to go online and read and they will see many people have this issue.

Has anyone figured out how to get the phone to update correctly to the 2.8 premuim if it didn't happen the 1st time?
