i rooted my note 2 and wasnt paying attention and deleted the os need help in restoring the os my phone so i can use it again

Hello there and welcome Jturtle!
I moved your thread into your device/carriers root subforum so others can help;)
You rooted your phone and did you flash a custom recovery?
Did you delete the OS via recovery I would assume?
What recovery do you have?

Ah, so if you have twrp as your recovery, then that is the custom (non-stock) recovery.

Well, I'm not that familiar with your device, but I surmise you can download a rom to your computer, put it on your sd card, then flash the rom via TWRP.

ive been tring to find the file for the os and really dont know what is a good site to get what i need

im not sure about how to go to recovery mode but when i do the volume up menu and power anything i go to says i dont have a os and computer is not picking up the phone is connected

Sometimes recovery mode is tricky to get into.
You got the right button combo to do it. I usually start with holding down the home button, then volume up, then power.
Keep holding all 3 until the phone vibrates, then let go of home and volume up only until the screen lights up in recovery, then let go of the power button.
Worst case, you'll have to ODIN back to stock, then re-root.
