Root [Sprint] Rooted Device, Deleting apps, Freeing space, Cool things to know!

Newbie
I have successfully rooted my Samsung Galaxy Victory. I now have 2 questions.
1) How to delete camera shutter sound?
2) How can I move apps to my SD card to free up space?
Please give me a hand, and thank you every one for helping me root my device.

Root Explorer also will not allow me to rename or delete files. Any ideas on why or what I can do.
Also whats a way to delete built in apps such as Google magazines or wallet, I don't use them and they take up space.

Any other help or advice on cool things to do on Rooted devices would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome!

I have moved this to All Things Root sub-forum for the Victory :D We'll get lots more help here

I can answer question number Two: This works beautifully! :) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2027788

Question number Three: Moving apps to sd can be tricky considering there is an internal sd and and external sd. Some people have stated that when you use root-only apps like Link2SD sees the internal sd but not the external. Personally, I don't try to move apps to sd because I haven't needed to, but I'm sure someone else can be of more assistance than I.

for the camera sound ,if you want the ability to turn it on and off at will with the camera settings. and discover other settings you can at your own risk turn on or off.

use a root file explorer and edit system/csc/feature.xml ... make a backup first if you have ever in your life made 1 bad button press.

change CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu from false to true. restart phone and now you have an on off setting for shutter sound in camera settings

Thanks got the tether to work. I love that app free wifi basically.
But for some reason I can not delete or rename files. Any idea???
Also have a clue how to clean up space, on my HTC One i could move apps to my SD card with out rooting the device.

If your phone is rooted, then you can remount /system as read/write, either using a root explorer tool or from an ADB shell. Absolutely make a backup of feature.xml before you change it.
