Root [Sprint] S4 broken?

I have rooted my sprint gs4 back in June and it was working perfectly. I even flashed cyanogenmod snapshot m8 and a couple of nightlies. But when I decided I had enough of cm I rebooted one of my backups and now certain apps that I use daily do not work. An app that is important to me that doesn't work is ROM installer. Whenever I open it it tells me the app has stopped and what so ever. I have tried flashing cm again through ROM manager and did not work. I also tried it through Odin and also did not let me flash. I have tried even flashing back to original stock ROM again, also did not work. I'm having trouble so someone please help.

Hi jcorral17 hopefully we here can help you out! :) Was your backup the stock ROM that came with your phone? When you flashed back to that backup did you go through factory reset, wipe dalvik etc?

Yes the backup was my the stock ROM that came with my phone. But I don't think I factory reset before I backed up.. Maybe that's the reason then? Is there a fix to that?
 
Hmm that still shouldn't be an issue even if you factory reset it. Tell me, what recovery are you using and are you able to get into recovery? Your backup should be in there under "restore". It sounds like we can still save your phone. If you're able to get into a recovery like clockworkmod or twrp then we can find a ROM for you to try out.

Okay that's good. So if you go into TWRP you should be able to get into 'Backups'. Do you see any files in there and if so can you flash them successfully?

My other suggestion would be to just download a ROM from galaxys4root(dot)com called "Super S4". It is very close to stock (minus all that bloatware). It's a large file (over a gig) but it's a stable ROM and it should put you close to stock as possible. Let me know if you're able to successfully go through and flash a ROM.
