Sprint Special Edition Harman/Kardon M8

So no update to our phones. Have to buy a new HTC One M8. Yeah, that was really dumb of Sprint. Why not offer that version from the beginning? I still hates the gun metal color and loathed to have silver. Damn you Sprint!
 
They didn't have the copyright and exclusive deal stuffs worked out when they dropped the normal M8. I'm a little disappointed too, because I'd have purchased that one as well.

If you're interested T, you can run the full H/K software now on your current M8. Need to root and get S-off to do it, but it's pretty easy. If you're interested start a thread in the root forum, we'll get you hooked up. ;)

I'm a nerd, but I'm not into rooting. Every Sprint phone should have been H/K from the beginning. Excuse my language but that's BS! Now I know why the Softbank CEO from Japan that purchased 80% of Sprint yells at their executives and CEO all the time. Just outright buffoonery going on at Sprint. He basically said that Sprint advertises with negative gains from it. Essentially, wasting money. He is signaling to me that Sprint needs new blood and leadership. I should email that guy.
 
So pretty much aside from software for an upgraded algorithm, free six months of spotify, and better headphones..... it's still the same great phone.
 
I'm no geek/nerd so I can't quote you stats, etc:

But, my HK sounds beautiful. I like the Live Stage option. The phone itself is sweet looking. I had an all black One before, so I was thrilled to get a mostly black version.

I've been tweaking and loading songs for hours. One HUGE problem I've come across so far...is in both Play Music and Music....it's splitting ALL my playlist into chapters, eg: Jazz1, Jazz2 and so on, and so on :mad:

Anyone have a fix? I've already searched the M8 forum for "music playlist".."playlist".

Edit: I love the tap screen to "wake" phone....I'm guessing that feature could have been tweaked in my other phone. Maybe??

I've listened to the phone in my ambulance, using that mic jack wire, and the sound is A LOT better than the iPod Nano that I had been using.

I really don't save and music on my phones, just stream from Pandora, etc. I'd have to research a bit to help you with that one. :o

I haven't tried the Rom and firmware to convert my normal M8 to an H/K. Think I need to go for it and see what the buzz is about. :D
 
I found I can consolidate the playlist on the "Music" app Vs. "Play Music". Unfortunately I had a fair amount of dupes.

So, I've re-formatted my SD card and reloaded each playlist direct from my computer.
