[Sprint] Stuck at google logo on boot!!

I bought a galaxy nexus less than a year ago, and I am already having a giant problem with it. A few days ago I turned my phone off before I went to bed. I try turning it on the next morning but it would just go to the google logo then go black. I thought it had somthing to do with my new boot animation because I had just changed it, and I had my boot animation set to "randomize" on a boot animation app.
Anyway, I tried pulling the battery a few times and got it to turn back on!!
I turned off the "randomize" in my boot animation app. I figured all would be good. I turned my phone off last night and now it wont go past the google logo this morning!

I still have my recovery's but I would rather not have to restore anything because they are all a few months old and I don't want to loose all my new stuff... Is there anything I can do that will allow me to get past this Without wiping and restoring?

It also appears that my phone is still on after the google logo, cause I can touch the screen in certain places and it will vibrate, like it is on but not showing anything. The volume buttons dont make any noise when pressed though so i don't get it, and I cant turn it off without pulling the battery

Is your bootloader unlocked and/or are you rooted? If so, do you have a custom recovery and/or custom rom installed? And what version of the Gnex do you have: Verizon, Sprint, or GSM?

Sorry this is so late of a response. Somehow my phone started working again. I just kept pulling the battery and trying turning it on again and it eventually got past the google screen. I have an unlocked bootloader, i am rooted, I have cyanogenmod with twrp recovery, on sprint.
The same thing happened to me this morning. Now my phone won't turn on again! IT just goes to the google screen, then goes black. For some reason I think my phone still boots up after that point but the screen doesnn't show it, because sometimes I can touch the screen a minute after and it will vibrate. Why is this happening and what can I do to get this to stop with out doing a factory reset and loosing everything? I don't think it will go back to normal this time because I've tried so many times pulling the battery and re trying but nothing is working.

Well first thing we need to do is rule whether this is a hardware or software issue. It could be a software issue. I first would try a new ROM and see if that ROM also causes you issues like your having if it infact does then it could very well be a hardware issue. I would just do some basic stuff with the phone until I am able to rule out what issue I am having and how to fix it if possible.

Even without insurance Sprint will sometimes give you a replacement if it is infact a hardware issue. So if it does turn out to be a hardware issue talk to sprint about replacement.

Installing a new rom does not necessarily mean a data wipe.

Try to install one by just wiping cache, dalvic, and system and leave data alone if all works then nandroid it. If it doesn't work or gives you problems then use a program like Titanium Backup to atleast save your data to restore for a new ROM.

Again the idea here is to see if its an actual hardware or software issue.

If I had a guess I would say it was a software issue. It started as soon as I turned on "randomizer" on my boot animation app. After i turned that on I tried turning my phone on the next morning and it wouldn't get past the google logo. It eventually booted up normally and I turned randmizer off, and just set it to the stock boot animation. It booted up normally the next day but then I had to pull and pull and pulll the battery until it booted up normally. But today i pull and pull but it still won't boot up normally.

What do you mean nanroid it? Doesn't my phone have to be functioning normal to use a backup app like that?
