Forgive me for asking suck a general question in this forum, but this is the phone I have now and where I get all my information. I have tried searching for the answer online, but no one seems to show you how to do this.My question is, can you take a sprint smart phone CDMA phone and Flash with odin or change mid or prl to switch it to Boost Mobile?

Negative. Only certain Sprint phones are allowed on Boost. More information can be found here.

Activate a Sprint phone on Boost CDMA, 101--Questions and answers

Please be aware that the thread is old and a lot of the information is dated. When Boost had a slim lineup it was easier to get it done but since they started getting Blackberry and Android on their lineup getting Sprint phones onto Boost has gotten slimmer and harder. Personally I never had any luck and be aware that you might not be able to get data and Boost will not help your with the issue.

Good luck.

Yes it is possible to get a Sprint CDMA phone on boost. I have a sprint Nexus S 4g on boost. But it requires more than just switching a prl and odin, and only certain phones are able to be converted

The TP2 actually can be put on boost without too much fuss. Some of the older reps will help you do everything but some of the newer reps will warn you that everything might not work properly. I guess its their way of saying if something doesn't work you're on your own. Fortunately there's so many TP2 users that all the kinks are ironed out.

The other phone that can be put on Boost without much fuss is the BB 8330. Net and bis will not work but there's directions online on how to get it working and the modified service books needed are also available.

Other Sprint phones can be done too, provided you're willing to do some MEID black magic. Its not that hard but the road has many nay sayers and misinformation. I've personally put more Sprint phones on Boost than I have fingers. I've also helped many to do the same for themselves. One thing I've learned over time though, some devices just do not want to work all the time. Voice is 100% but an android phone without net/3g is depressing! lol. Another thing is that some people require more hand holding than I'm willing to provide. lol
