Sprint/VM 4G Rollout.

I have been watching the 4G rollout in my area, and it's slowly expanding. But, I have yet to get it at my home, it's half a block away, and there is a spot on Lake Superior that has 4G. See the black circle in the map

Radio signals aren't like pavement, you can't put them just where you want. You put up a tower, you aim the antennas and the signal still does whatever it wants. Have patience.

Sprint fully backed wimax 4g. Since that fizzled out they're kinda playing catch up with LTE. I switched from metropcs to VM cause I moved to new Orleans and no 4g here on metro. But VM had it. 6 months later metro has it here. Figures.

I guess you're missing my point, I just found it funny they have 4G 3/4 a mile off shore in Lake Superior.

That is common on a lake. There's nothing in the way of the signal coming from the shore since it's perfectly flat with no trees or buildings. That spot you circled probably just reflects incomplete data - I'd bet you can get a signal anywhere close enough to the shore in that part of the lake.
