squirrely screen

Ive had my droid since it launched and haven't really had any problems. Every once in a while the screen would act weird but over the last couple of weeks the top portion (starting from about the bottom of the volume rocker up) of the screen just wont respond. When im in landscape typing a message the A, Q, Caps lock and number button will not work.

Anyone else had similar? Im thinking its a hardware issue (I really do not want to do a factory reset).

I am running stock 2.2

Take it to Verizon. All Droids are still under warranty. Besides, if it is hardware, a factory reset isn't going to do any good.
