Help Squished Keyboard issues

Hey guys. I haven't seen this issue on the board yet so I figured I'd ask.

My wife's AT&T (not rooted, standard factory settings) keyboard decided to change about 6 months ago and is now squished to the left side and leaving a large black empty spot. It's an annoyance and I've been trying to get it back. Do you have any suggestions?

Have you tried clear data and cache in settings>apps>swype
