Do you need to be on Android 5.0.1 to get this Stagefright bug fix? I am still on KitKat 4.4.4 and have not received this update. I am with Koodo/Telus.
There's nothing about which OS is affected on the Telus page. But to be safe you can follow the steps listed there until the bug fix comes out fir the M8. That's what I did.
