Mr. Dismount made friends with Dr. Oid today.

Available on Android Marketplace NOW!

We're finally happy to announce that Stair Dismount™ is coming to Android™ devices pretty soon (our internal beta testing is in late stages). Screenshots, promo video and similar stuff will be posted to this thread, to Mr. Dismount's facebook page and tweeted like there's no tomorrow as we crawl closer to release.

For those unfamiliar with this world-renowned tour-de-force of entertainment technology, it is the premier personal impact and stairflight simulator.

Exactly 4 389 368 fruit-favoring individuals have downloaded the game to this day. Surely this is a paltry number to be beaten by the synthetic life-forms?

YouTube trailer now up, beta testing on final stretch. Once we figure out how to make money on Android, release is imminent :D

(Actually we're just trying to figure out the complexities of the marketplace, but it sounded better that way.)

Here are some screenshots, also featuring Dr. Oid:

YES. As for today you are my king. I would gladly pay 20 bucks for this. And 30 more if you give us SPiN as well.

You know, I'd suggest that you put in an apple logo in the game to push down stairs, but you would probably get sued.

Or just texture map the marionette with the face of Steve Jo... hang on, i didnt actually type that... i didnt even think it, honest.

Actually, if you don't mind us asking a bit of advice...

What are good sites for Android news that people follow these days? Being new to the scene, this forum seemed like a good place to start spreading the word of Stair Dismount coming to Android devices, but if anyone would like to give a few pointers, we'd be all ears.

A bit of googling came up with this list of sites, but since the article is from 2009 things may have changed quite a bit since then.

Droidgamer, Pocketgamer, the XDA forums are good places. Especially XDA for contacts.
In Sweden se have the Swedroid forum and the word is already out there. Blink blink.

I noticed! Awesome. Having a blast with the game and gun forcing all my friends to download it as well. Thanks.

Now, will see SPiN as well?

Hello!
I have a problem, please help me!
I see, it free, so please upload the apk for me, because i live in a little town, and here is not wifi and other connection point!
Thanks!

Just bought all level packs and characters. While I certainly don't need the characters, the new levels are creative and fun.
Doing my best to support you, since Android's been missing you.

Much appreciated! New level packs are in the plans, hoping to keep them all unique and fun as well :)

This COULD replace Angry Birds (which I never really got in to) and Words With Friends (which I did) as the best time waster. Great Job!!

Don't forget to praise and review the game on Market. As far as I can see, it has only one review and that's mine. :)

Stair Dismount updated to version 2.0.2

- Now supports SD card installs
- One crash bug fixed
- OpenFeint leaderboards updated (now better layouts on tablets)

Enjoy!

Stair Dismount updated to version 2.0.3

- Fix for texture issues on various handsets
- Fix for Android 3.1 devices

Aaaand hopefully concluding our rapid update cycle...

Stair Dismount v2.0.4 released

- Pressing the device back-button in the game main menu leaves the app

It seems to run surprisingly well on a regular HTC Desire, so kudos for that. Polished, certainly amusing, I can really see the appeal, and you've put the effort in to court Android users. I do hope you shift a few level packs - I'm just not sure I like the game quite enough to buy them myself. My apologies!

although this game doesnt have the same "cant put it down" factor as some other games. I do keep coming back to it for a few quick plays and its always fun and amusing

not sure if you could do this, but is there anyway to import androidify avatars so we can push those down stairs? i think that would be a fun paid feature

Currently there's no way to accomplish this. However it is possible to import images from the device photo library and use those as the faces of the regular dismount characters.
