Stand finish chipping?

Sorry if this has been covered, but I'm new to the TB and androids...

But has any experienced chipping on the finish of their TB stand? I have insurance, but I'm always wary that Vzn will blame me for the damage. I haven't dropped the phone, but this has come from just normal wear in my pocket.
 
yeah I've seen complaints and I have little wear/chips as well.

its just something that we have to live with

I don't think it is worth making a insurance claim just for this especially at 90 bucks
 
It doesn't bother me, but I just don't want Verizon to fuss if I ever need a replacement phone in the future and they blame me.
 
I've read that it's a protective coating on the leg that's actually peeling away, and once it all peels off, doesn't look nearly as atrocious as it does while it's peeling.

Knock wood - no peeling yet (though I'm just at a week out owning this hone).
 
Yeah the peeling is actually quite common. Mine is pealing from bottom where the stand meets a surface. It doesn't bother me much, but I am sure it will make it that much harder when I need to sell the phone.

Though I take this stand over the EVO's any day.
 
Yea mine started peeling too. However I recently dropped mine and cracked the screen so I'm getting a fresh replacement fo free from best buy. I do really like their insurance..
 
Yeah, I read another post about this awhile back and went to check my kickstand and noticed the finish starting to chip. I always use my kickstand and usually use my fingertip/nail to pull it out so I'm not surprised that it's chipping. I'm totally over it and it doesn't bother me one bit. I wouldn't take it in to get it replaced, save that for something a little bit more serious. Someone did say that they just removed the finish on the kickstand when it started to chip and it looks better now actually.
 
It's definitely been clipping for me. Although aside from being a costmetic nuance, it really doesn't affect the kickstand at all. No worries about it.
